Description

Hasegawa - 1/32 P-47D THUNDERBOLT

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt / Fighter Bomber Aircraft, nicknamed the Jug, proved itself an unsung hero of World War 2 where it fought across all major theaters of the conflict. Hasegawa is more than obliged to give this beast of an aircraft a fantastic representation of a 32 scale model with the ST27 P-47-D Thunderbolt. This magnificent kit is well-detailed, cleverly engineered, and offers plenty of options. The Jug wore some of the most colourful nose art and markings in the USAAF so this model offers a terrific range of finishing options. This is a gift to all Thunderbolt fans and one that you should not miss out.

While much of the romance of World War 2 dogfighting often heads in the direction of the United States Army Air Forces' (USAAF) North American P-51 "Mustang" or the Vought F4U "Corsair", the Republic P-47 "Thunderbolt" (affectionately nicknamed "the Jug") stands second to none when considering her global reach, her contributions to the air and ground war (in all theaters), and the fact that she was produced more than any other American fighter of the war.

Hasegawa has become a leader in scale plastic kits by producing highly detailed models that impress the most demanding hobbyists. Because of the accuracy found in such areas as cockpits, interiors, engines, weapon bays and aircraft wheel bays, many Hasegawa models are built by professionals for museum displays. Ultimately, Hasegawa understands that the reward in model building goes beyond successful assembly. For the enthusiast, each model represents an opportunity to explore history, learn more about the subject and create a scale miniature to enjoy for a lifetime.
