Why this kit matters
The Dora railway gun, also known as Schwerer Gustav, was the largest calibre rifled weapon ever used in combat and the heaviest mobile artillery piece built. Developed by Germany during World War II, it was designed to break through heavily fortified positions such as the French Maginot Line. The gun weighed around 1,350 tonnes and required a crew of several hundred to operate, making it a true engineering marvel of its time.
